The Jags face a biggest challenge outside the SWAC in Tulane Green Wave, Floria A&M Rattlers, and the Northwestern State Demon. Tulane is expected to have it best team since going 12-0 in 1998. FAMU has average over 50 the last three years against the Jags. Northwestern ambushed the Jags in 2000. This Jaguar team have the potential to the one of the best in SU history.

Predictions: The Jags are perfect at home against NSU Demons. Look for this trend to continue as my Jags avenge last year disappoint loss. 35-10

Rare if ever a I-AA teams is expected to out draw a Division I Opponent in there home stadium. This will be the case when Southern plays Tulane in the Superdome this year. The Jaguar Nation will be in full force and effect and upset a good Green wave team. 30-28

This maybe the last meeting between the Jags and Rattler. At least the last game until FAMU Coach Billy Joe or Coach Richardson retires. This is personal and Coach Richardson wants this one bad. SU 55 - FAMU 20.

Northwestern State University

NSU Demons from the Southland Conference had a disappointing 6-5 season last year. They open season with and impressive win over the Jags at Northwestern. The last 4 years both teams have took care business on their home field. Look for the trend to continue this year. This year NSU comes to Baton Rouge.

Tulane University

The Green Wave of Conference USA will be a major challenge for the Jags in the Big Easy Classic. Both schools are counting on Jaguar Nation and the New Orleans citizens interest in this match up to sellout this game. The game is a measuring stick for Southern and the SWAC. The Jaguar has nothing to lose in this match up and should up to the challenge.
